They're Talking About Us Again...
Locals and visitors are buzzing about Panzano. We hear it again and again - having the basics down keeps Denver eaters coming back for more. And who knew an unassuming little trademark salad could cause such a fuss...
Chef Elise Wins Colorado Chef of the Year
Chef Elise was named 2005 Colorado Chef of the Year by the American Culinary Foundation, the victor in two state competitions against a dozen other top toques. In February 2006, she'll head to Hawaii for the regional battle, where the chefs will again be judged on creativity, knife skills, taste and texture. A win there will take her to Philadelphia in July for the national Chef of the Year competition. Go Elise! |

"The simplest dishes reveal fundamental truths about restaurants. The house-baked bread and the pizza Margherita is as fine as you'll taste outside Naples... Panzano serves simply great food."

Even our choosiest critics have something to say:
- "Dear Elise, Just a note to tell you how mush Tom and I enjoyed your cooking class!!! We learned a lot and most importantly, we had a great time. You're a treat and a special talent."

- "Panzano's: We recently celebrated our engagement with a weekend at the Hotel Monaco and dinner at your restaurant. We want to personally thank you for a very enjoyable experience. We were greeted with complimentary glass of Champagne. Our waiter was knowledgeable and assisted in making a wine selection that matched our entrees perfectly. We were presented with a tiramisu dessert and a gift certificate for a complimentary calamari upon our next visit. We will no doubt be back very soon for dinner... It is not very often that a restaurant goes out of their way to make their clientele feel so special. Thank you for a lovely evening, first rate food, impeccable service and great atmosphere. Sincerely Steven Kellar & Lori Stitzmann, February 15th 2005"
- "We had a truly excellent dinner at Panzano on Valentine's Day. The selection of wines and courses were extraordinary. This was a follow -up to a previous excellent dinner we had at Panzano celebrating my birthday. Panzano is quickly becoming - if not already - our favorite Denver restaurant. Thank you for two truly memorable dining experiences."
